Don’t know much about history,
Don’t know much biology
Don’t know much about a science book,
Don’t know much about the french I took
But I do know that I love you,
And I know that if you love me, too,
What a wonderful world this would be

What a Wonderful World – Sam Cooke

Rachel and Nathan,

As I sit here reflecting on your day, trying to remember all the little pieces that came together to make your day magical, so many happy moments come to mind. Of course, the perfect black tie tuxedos were elegant and impeccable. But it was Nathan’s batman cuff links (his first gift from Rachel) and the kitty socks that look like their kitty cats that made it extra special. Rachel carried a heirloom handkerchief and earrings had made by Nathan’s mom which took her elegant gown and beautiful veil up a notch to exceptional. Quiet little details adorned each part of your wedding day and it made us all feel the love you share. My favorite detail, and one of my favorite Jewish traditions, is the signing of ketubah. I always love to view the intricate details of your marriage contract with each other. The leaves and gold accents on yours are spectacular.

I loved that Nathan teared up at the thought of your first look and I loved how Rachel beamed as she walked over towards him. Polo ponies surrounded us as we did your first wedding day portraits and Rachel watched them trotting around as we captured some images in the King Family barn.

The skies were looking a little scary so we had a quick whirlwind portrait session in the vines and made it back to sign the ketubah just as the sky opened up and the rain began! We were all a little bit disappointed at first but your ceremony was so intimate, romantic and touching. The rain created a little world under the veranda that was all your own.

Then you stole away to be together before the party began.

The speeches — Rachel’s dad bought a list from Rachel’s childhood projecting her future accomplishments– were heartfelt and lovely.  And the first dance! No wonder you were rockstars at the twirls in the vineyard. 🙂

Did I mention cats? I don’t think I managed to mention cats 😛

Thank you so much for inviting us to be part of your wedding day. It was such an honor to be part of your love story!

xo,
Beth
